Corrosion occurs where water and gasses are present and can lead to production challenges. Corrosion can occur anywhere in the production system.  It can occur either at bottom hole or in surface lines and equipment. The use of a corrosion inhibitor can slow down or even stop the corrosion of the metallic parts or drill. In the oil industry, corrosion inhibitors are designed to protect against water, both fresh and brine, biological deposits, carbon dioxide (anaerobic corrosion), hydrogen sulfide and other organic acids associated with drilling in all oil-field types.

BSC-1640 Biological Corrosion Inhibitor

BSC-1640 is a liquid non-ionic biological formulation containing living facultative anaerobic species used to inhibit corrosion and scale formation through its metabolic by-products, including alcohols, ketones, organic acids and biosurfactants. The by-products of metabolism, ketones and organic acids, are polarizing agents that can inhibit the corrosion process. This is accomplished by neutralizing the cathodic portion of the metal, breaking the circuit of the corrosion cell.

FC-181 Corrosion Inhibitor

Unlike the older imidazole dimer/trimers that gunk up on the metal, FC-181 is an alkyl pyridine quaternary ammonium compound used for downhole corrosion. It’s a film-forming type product that plates out at the interface of the produced fluids and metal. It’s a general-purpose corrosion inhibitor that prevents a variety of corrosion due to chlorides, pH, CO2 and basic hostile downhole environments. The recommended dosage is 100 to 300 ppm depending on the severity of the corrosion and can be introduced through batch treatments or constant injection.

FC-200 Corrosion Inhibitor

FC-200 is a water soluble corrosion inhibitor intended for use in protecting casing, tubing, wellhead and production equipment or pipelines. FC-200 can be used in oil or gas producing wells and as a three-phase inhibitor. FC-200 provides protection for both pumping equipment and downhole tubular metals by coating the metal with a thin barrier. The excellent dispersability of FC-200 insures that the inhibitor comes in contact with the metal.

FC-408 Corrosion Inhibitor

FC-408 is a water soluble corrosion inhibitor intended for use in protecting casing, tubing, wellhead and production equipment or pipelines. FC-408 can be used in oil or gas producing wells and as a three-phase inhibitor.

FC-1100 CO2 Scavengar

FC-1100 is a product which is formulated for application by atomization into a gas line prior to the sales point for removal of CO2 from the sales gas. FC-1100 is a unique product which will remove CO2 from produced gas by continuous injection. It provides an easy method to remove CO2 from produced gas to allow the gas to be sold.
